Daniel Barnett: Project Manager

We’re highlighting one of our newest Project Managers, Daniel Barnett. Daniel began his construction career at 18 years of age as a laborer for a small general contractor. From his first day on the job Daniel knew he wanted to pursue a career in construction. Daniel changed his major from Culinary Arts to Construction Management at Southern Polytechnic State University and he progressed through college he continued to work on various construction projects as a tradesman. 

After graduation in 2011, Daniel found a job with a roofing and waterproofing consultant firm as the Great Recession was beginning to lift. While he enjoyed the opportunity to learn something new, he knew that the actual construction - not consulting- was what intrigued him most. After a few years in roofing, he worked at Harcon for 7 years, where he worked up from Project Engineer to Project Manager. 

He has now joined the Atlanta Area as Project Manager. Given his extensive experience he was immediately thrown into the deep end- assigned the biggest job that Atlanta has seen in many years- a 2.2 million square foot parking garage. The expectations for success are through the roof but given Daniel’s ability to relate so well with both the office and field team, we expect nothing but greatness.
